Montebello Island fishing charter report: The return

Lofty has been coming with us for the past 8 years, bringing a team of keen anglers each year from Melbourne for an 8 day charter to the Montebello Islands.

We had a day out wide chasing blue marlin, which unfortunately resulted in one dropped fish, but having a fun time on a school of Dolphin fish (Mahi Mahi). Andy was keen to get his 1st ever Dolphin fish then his second, third, fourth, and fifth. John also got his very first Dolphin fish.

The trip also consisted of some good sessions on fish including red emperor, Spanish Mackerel and a good session of jigging for all variety of Trevally.

They also had a fun time in the shallows catching coral trout.

Andy finished the last day of the trip catching 35kg Black Marlin off the Dampier Archipelago.

We enjoy their company and looking forward to Lofty bringing more guys next year.
