7 day fishing charter- Montebello Islands- Week 5
We’ve had another great week aboard Blue Lightning III with a 7 day fishing charter to the Montebello Islands. The weather was good for the first couple of days followed by a couple of blowy days.
On this 7 day fishing charter we had some nice coral trout on the bite to begin the trip. The rankin cod and red emperors were nice on the last few days of this 7 day fishing charter. There were plenty of mackerel, long nose emperors and chinamanfish on this 7 day fishing charter to enjoy. We got a a nice queen off the beach and lots of squid. We also had a nice feed of crayfish courtesy of Decky Jake.
On the final day of the charter, as we returned to Dampier we tagged and released 4 black marlin.
Highlight of this 7 day fishing charter would have to of been a 59 cm red emperor in 4 metres of water.
